Miami Central’s Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) Magnet is an outstanding program for students in grades 9-12, who want to enhance their high school career with “Real World” experience.  The AOIT Magnet Program features a dynamic cluster of electives and core academic courses that introduce students to the ever-expanding digital workplace and to the career opportunities offered in web administration, graphic and digital design, programming, database administration and entrepreneurship. Visit the National Academy Foundation - HERE or the Miami Central High School Web Site - HERE

Our magnet program increases the engagement of high school students and provide away for businesses beyond the walls of the school to enhance students’ educational experiences.

Each summer, Miami Central AOIT Magnet students have the opportunity to have real world, applied learning experience.  They work as paid interns at firms specializing in IT as well as in IT departments in various corporations and industries.  These students not only see how their classroom lessons relate to the workplace, they also develop important professional relationships that can be of lasting value in the years to come.
